A monthly letter from a friend in Japan. Each Otayori includes a handwritten letter with English translation, an origami creation, origami paper, a Japanese word card, a photo from everyday life in Japan, and a little surprise, all packed by hand.

Imagine finding an envelope from Japan in your mailbox.

Not a souvenir. Not a guidebook. Just a little handwritten letter from a friend in Japan.

**Otayori from Japan** is a monthly snail mail from Japan, written by Natsumi. Each month has a new seasonal theme, inspired by everyday life in Japan.

Inside every envelope:

* A handwritten letter in Japanese, with an English translation
* An origami creation — a different one each month
* Two sheets of Japanese origami paper
* A Japanese word card with an easy explanation
* A photo from everyday life in Japan
* A little surprise that changes each month, such as washi tape or a postcard

The letter comes in both Japanese and English, making Otayori a gentle way to discover real, everyday Japanese while enjoying a little piece of life in Japan.

And you can write back, too.
Scan the QR code on the Write Back Card to send me a message, ask a question, or request something you'd like to learn about Japan. I read every reply.

Each month, I'll choose something new to share with you — a seasonal moment, a Japanese word, a little piece of paper, or something I happened to discover in my everyday life.

**Ships from Japan worldwide.**

For Japan lovers, Japanese learners, pen pal lovers, and anyone who enjoys the simple joy of receiving snail mail.
