Written, illustrated and lovingly packaged  by New Zealand artist and marine biologist Cassie Callard. Her stories behind the original art hand-posted direct to your letterbox.

A personal letter from me, Cassie Callard, the artist and marine biologist, sharing fascinating marine life stories, behind-the-scenes insights into the artwork, and the adventures that inspired the subject.

The 2026 collection is “Letters from a Marine Biologist”. These letters are inspired by the animals, places and experiences that shaped my career in marine biology . This has been varied, from being kickstarted after volunteering in sea turtle conservation, my studies that took me around the coasts of NZ and to Australia, my time as a fisheries observer on deep sea vessels, and the weird and wonderful of marine biosecurity!

This is my unique take on an art subscription, my goal is to combine my love of getting real letters, my passion for the sea and all the life within it & calm from art! In return you get a sneak peak into the life of a marine biologist, a chance to slow down in this fast-paced world & make a new marine biologist friend!
