This club includes an individually hand pulled block print and postcard sized print, as well stickers,  newsletter  and at least one surprise item every month all wrapped in a paper wrapper I designed.  This is all done in honor of and to help me stay connected to my bookworm who also loved art and especially, printmaking. 

WELCOME! Bookworm Besties is a book/bookworm related, memory honoring mail club.

Our daughter was a huge bookworm, & book collector who also loved art and printmaking. I want to honor her with a club that features her favorite things and provides a fun experience for subscribers.

Each month you will get a hand pulled block printed bookmark and postcard sized print, designed and printed by me in a theme appropriate for the month. The theme for the bookmark & postcard will often be nature related. In the regular club, the postcard and bookmark will be single color, often black.

Then there will be a full color monthly bookworm sticker designed by me, as well as a larger bookplate/ book log sticker.

There will also be a monthly newsletter/letter with bits about inspiration, and a story about Maia, the bookworm, and ???

At least one surprise item is included each month, as well. Everything will be wrapped in a decorative paper wrapper, also designed by me.

Currently, everything I'm making is produces and printed in my smoke-free house.

You will find the initials "MM" on most of the prints & stickers. That stands both for Marissa's Mom and Marks for Marissa. I also set aside a portion of the proceeds to pay it forward. With the help of friends and family, we've already given out a scholarship to a High School senior in our area, but other ideas include a scholarship for a 4H'r going to 4H Exploration Days in Michigan, a public event that features books and printmaking, or sending copies of the book club to people in Nursing homes, etc.

A monthly collection of writing, curiosity, reflection, art and beautiful paper goods, created around a different theme each month. Every issue includes a personal letter, a curiosity, journal practice, crossword, botanical bookmark, original art print and collectible sticker.

The North House Post was created as a small rebellion against the endless scroll and an invitation to make a little more room for curiosity, beauty and thoughtful living.

Each month, I choose a theme I’m genuinely curious about and build an entire edition around it. I write and research the letter and Curiosity, create a simple analogue practice and journal prompt, make a themed crossword, curate a botanical bookmark and sticker, and create an original piece of artwork for the monthly art print.

The result is a small collection designed to be enjoyed slowly and away from a screen. Something to read with a cup of tea, tuck inside a book, pin above your desk, write on, keep or share.

The North House Post is part of North House Society, a learning society for women dedicated to self-understanding, lifelong learning, meaningful community and intentional living. The Post is one small part of North House, but a very personal one. It brings together so many things I love: writing, books, nature, art, beautiful paper, puzzles and learning simply for the pleasure of knowing something new.
