Cottage Letters Mail Club is a cozy monthly subscription featuring a beautifully written letter and an original art print by New York Times bestselling author and mail club pioneer Janice MacLeod. Inspired by the seasons, gardens, travel, and the quiet pleasures of everyday life, each envelope delivers a little beauty to your mailbox.

Janice pioneered the modern illustrated mail club in 2012 with her original Paris Letters subscription, long before mail clubs became a trend. Her book, called Paris Letters, is a memoir of how she became an artist in Paris and developed the concept of the modern day mail club. Cottage Letters continues that tradition of making real mail something wonderful to look forward to. She includes art prints, a letter, and stickers all created by her to delight you.

A Mail Club full of dedication and affection, dedicated to all the fun-loving people who enjoy the little details.

We live in an era where handmade items—things crafted with love and dedication—are losing their appreciation. We are also in a time where the figure of the artist, human-made creations, and the analog and tangible worlds are fading into the background. In response to this—and after months of wanting to create and share my work with the world—I have decided to launch this Mail Club. I want to share the excitement of receiving a letter, taking the time to read and truly feel it, and getting passionate artistic pieces to decorate your space or gift to friends—an experience meant for feeling and enjoyment. The Mail Club is a monthly subscription that delivers artistic pieces—crafted with deep devotion and enthusiasm—straight to your mailbox. Each month, you will receive a letter focused on my inspirations, reflections, or more personal writings. It also includes a print (14x18cm) and a variety of stickers, all featuring unique monthly designs. Some months will also include small, exclusive gifts (which I’m keeping under wraps for now). Your initial subscription comes with a loyalty card to be filled with the stickers you receive each month; upon reaching the six-month or one-year mark, you will receive a surprise or a gift.
