Fenua Letters is a monthly letter sent from French Polynesia.
I don’t write about an imaginary island life. I write about the one I actually live.

Some months, the story begins with a horse, a bird, a fisherman, a river, a storm, a neighbour, or simply something I almost didn’t notice. These are small, real moments from everyday life here — not perfect, not staged, and not always postcard-beautiful.
I write them because I’ve come to realise that the ordinary things we live every day often become precious only when we stop long enough to see them.
