Mailbox Mutts is a uniquely heartwarming children's subscription where letters are written in the voice of real shelter dogs awaiting adoption. Each month, a different dog tells its story, shares what life at the shelter is like, and encourages the child to be kind to animals. The subscription includes stickers, a plush toy, and information about how to help shelter animals. A portion of proceeds supports animal rescue organizations.

Each letter comes with sheet music or a listening guide for a featured song so you can follow along! Our letters feature the history of the song and activities designed specifically for that month's song. Lesson exercises explore fundamental music concepts!

Hi! We're Julia and Marc, a husband and wife team and the creators of Music with Melody. We started Music with Melody because we believe music should be something everyone can enjoy, explore, and teach. We also wanted to create an affordable, delightful, screen-free way for families to bring more music education into their homes - no music degree required. Instead of an app or a video series, we created a monthly letter. Each one explores a single song — its history, its story, the people behind it — and invites kids (and adults!) to listen and learn little more deeply. Every lesson is created from scratch. We're intentional about the songs we choose each month, typically centering each lesson around a seasonal mood or moment. Our hope is that the songs you encounter day to day carry a little more weight and meaning. Maybe Music with Melody feeds your curiosity. Maybe it fits into your homeschool plan.
