Each letter comes with sheet music or a listening guide for a featured song so you can follow along! Our letters feature the history of the song and activities designed specifically for that month's song. Lesson exercises explore fundamental music concepts!

Hi! We're Julia and Marc, a husband and wife team and the creators of Music with Melody.

We started Music with Melody because we believe music should be something everyone can enjoy, explore, and teach. We also wanted to create an affordable, delightful, screen-free way for families to bring more music education into their homes - no music degree required. 

Instead of an app or a video series, we created a monthly letter. Each one explores a single song — its history, its story, the people behind it — and invites kids (and adults!) to listen and learn little more deeply. 

Every lesson is created from scratch. We're intentional about the songs we choose each month, typically centering each lesson around a seasonal mood or moment. Our hope is that the songs you encounter day to day carry a little more weight and meaning.

Zip's Mailbox Club sends kids ages 3-12 two pieces of real mail a month: a personalized letter from Zip, a warm little postage stamp who lives in the mailbox, plus a mid-month envelope with a note, an age-matched coloring page, a paper game, and the Stamp of the Month. Letters are age-banded and written around each child's real name and interests, so a 3-year-old and a 10-year-old get genuinely different mail. What makes it special: it's two-way - when a child writes or draws back, Zip remembers what they said and weaves it into the next letter, building one continuing story instead of twelve unrelated envelopes.

Zip's Mailbox Club is a monthly personalized letter club for kids ages 3-12, built by a New Jersey dad who wanted his own kids to have something to look forward to that wasn't a screen.

Zip is a warm little postage stamp who lives in the mailbox. Every month, a child gets two pieces of real mail: a personalized letter from Zip written around their real name and interests, and a mid-month envelope with a note, an age-matched coloring page, a paper game, and the Stamp of the Month. Collectible Mailbox Crew character cards and a year-long mystery run through the whole year. Letters are age-banded, so a 3-year-old and a 10-year-old get genuinely different letters matched to where they are as readers and writers.

What makes Zip's different: it's two-way. When a child writes or draws back - a scribble, a dictated sentence, a full letter - Zip remembers what they said and weaves it into the next letter. It builds into one continuing story about that specific kid.

Every envelope is hand-packed. We officially launched in July 2026 and already have 13 customers. Gift-givers can choose when the first letter arrives!
